We have been selected…

Apparently we’ve been sitting still long enough for other people to start doing things instead.

We’re happy to share that GumboGumbo has been selected for the City of Ghent’s Artiest zkt… guide for 2026–2029.

The jury described us as:

“Pittige nineties-geïnspireerde garagerock. Geïnspireerde eigen nummers. Creatief en begeesterd. WYSIWYG, maar dus ook doodeerlijk rechtuit. Wijs…”

(Roughly translated: “Punchy ’90s-inspired garage rock. Inspired original songs. Creative and full of conviction. WYSIWYG: honest, straightforward and unapologetically direct.”)

We’ll happily take that.

Meanwhile, Steve is still busy convincing his ribs that being attached to his body was the better option, and Jan is somewhere deep inside the edit of our next video.

So we’re still a little quieter than we’d like.

But not for much longer.
